Douglas Craver is President & Launch Craftsman of LaunchTribe LLC, his 7th startup, where he directs the launch of agile applications, startups and social learning/helping communities. With over 20 years of startup experience, starting his first company at the age of 25, he is a tech marketing, social media and operations action strategist, Information Architect, Interaction Design Evangelist and business launch craftsman, entrepreneur, investor, writer and a great cook (friends say he can, 'throw it down'). He and Chris met through SkiTAM, a significant funder for the US Adaptive Ski Team, where he lead the Marketing Committee for 10 years. He remains involved directing their social media outreach brand, AdaptiveSpirit, which is now the organization's new name.
Steven Garcia has spent his career defending victims of abuse as a class action lawyer. He, his wife Dana, son Taylor (14) and daughter Alexandra (10) split time between Mammoth Mountain, California and Orlando, Florida. Both kids are among the top snow and water skiers in the country. Upon meeting Chris at an event in Mammoth, Steve said, "I want to be involved in what you're doing."
Alison Kiley works at Alta Partners, a San Francisco-based venture capital firm, and focuses on medical technology and biotechnology. Alison has two children: Natalie (8) and Paul (5). She met Chris after he agreed to be the keynote speaker for a large industry luncheon in 2010. She hopes one day to be able to keep up with him on skis.
Rory Lynch is the director of Finance and Export Sales at Terra Valentine Winery. He and Chris have known each other for years, originally meeting through common friends.
Bob Meserve and Chris skied on the US Disabled Ski Team together in 1991-1992. Bob is presently the operations manager at Neenan Company. He specializes in large construction projects and lives in Fort Collins, CO with his wife Kathy and step-son Ryan.
Bob More became friends with Chris at Middlebury where they played soccer together. Bob works at Frazier Healthcare Ventures focusing on biotechnology and medical devices. Bob lives in San Diego with his wife, Sandra, and children Jake (12) and Alec (10) and enjoys skiing, soccer and climbing.
Pablo v. Nyarady became friends with Chris at Eaglebrook where they played soccer and skied together. Pablo owns an international manufacturing company as well as a small boutique winery. He is active on a number of philanthropic boards, teaches at Westfield State University and lives in Westfield, MA with his wife Lynanne and their two kids.
Daniel Pearl became friends with Chris at Eaglebrook School where they were roommates and co-captains of the soccer, skiing, and baseball teams. Dan is currently developing "ethical literacy" curriculum in Maine schools at the Holocaust & Human Rights Center of Maine. Dan lives in Falmouth, Maine with his wife Robin and children Harrison (12), Mykel (9), and Sydney (9). He enjoys mountain bike riding with his dogs, skiing, and coaching his kids' teams.
Jim Schaefer grew up ski racing and playing baseball with Chris in western Massachusetts and attended Eaglebrook and Deerfield with him as well. Jim runs UBS Investment Bank's Americas Power & Utility and Global Renewable Energy & Cleantech groups. Jim lives in New Canaan, CT with his wife, Joni, and 3 children and is an active water skier, snow skier and road biker.
Donna Volpitta, Ed.D. is a friend of Chris' from Middlebury College. Donna runs Piggy and the Moon Educational Consulting, LLC and she is the creator of the Pathways To Empower Educational Program. She lives in Pound Ridge, NY with her husband, Rich, and children Marco (9), Jenna (7), Sarah (5), and Stefan (3) and she sings with The Subourbons.
