"It's not what happens to you; It is what you do with what happens to you."
The
Nametags education program is a twenty-minute (forty-five minutes to an hour with
questions) assembly designed for students third grade and above. In this interactive
program, designed in conjunction with Donna Volpitta, Ed.D, Chris uses video clips,
activities and stories in order to challenge students to think about the assumptions we
make about the labels that we place on ourselves and others.

I'm a fifth grade teacher at Munger Hill Elementary School, and I recently heard you speak to our students about "labels." I was very touched by your story and even more so by your message. I just wanted to take a few minutes to thank you as I, and my students, really enjoyed your presentation. You're spreading a very important message! I would say that you are definitely "on the right path." Keep up the good work!

Thanks again for helping to make the assembly on Monday such a success! I still hear buzz in the hallway about it. I look forward to seeing Chris and his message reach thousands and millions more each year! Nametags is an important program for our society. Chris Waddell shares his experience in a way that allows the audience to safely consider, “It’s not what happens to you, It’s what you do with what happens to you.”
-Robert Lane, Kildonan School
